First week in April and we get a dump of snow. Wet, miserable, blowing stuff. Roads have a few inches of the slush and my driveway is a mess. Way too heavy to shovel since it will be 20 degrees Celsius in two days. It may have looked good if it came just before Christmas but not now.
Being a Canadian I should not complain, it’s not the end of the world. If you cannot drive through a few inches of snow then you should not be here. Just the same, I’m ready for spring and this is not encouraging.
As you can see by the pictures below my two associates approach the snow differently. Stanley has a noticeable degree of enthusiasm with the wet stuff and Sophie on the other hand… well let’s just say she is more comfortable looking at it through a window than getting her feet in it.
So, what is a boy to do with all this wet sticky snow? If you are not going to shovel it then you may as well make snowmen with it. That addressed, I needed to decide what type of snowman and I turned to one of my favourite books for inspiration, Calvin and Hobbes. Being a little lazy I go with desktop size snowmen instead of life size.
This humor may not be for everyone but I hope you enjoy my 3D adaptation of Calvin’s classic snowmen.
